Scenario

A Long Shadow Falls

A long shadow falls over the world, and the people there collared beneath it. Under an unseen gaze, no emotion nor falsehood goes unnoticed.

Five young girls find themselves on a strange path — toward their own hearts, the hearts of others, and that of the world itself. Invited into a mysterious program one day, they are forced to confront an undiscovered side of reality.

The setting is a near-future world bound to truth, set below an enigmatic Shroud. Rhythm encounters and card crafting are woven into the narrative: each song is a crossing of souls — with others, or with yourself.

Protagonists

Five Voices

Five sixteen-year-olds from four schools, each pulled into the same strange program. Profiles below stick to what's confirmed on the official site and in the demo.

Gameplay

Difficulty & Notes

Rhythm play is woven into the story: brace against incoming notes and a sweeping aerial Field across four difficulties. Your difficulty choice and note handling set the ceiling for every score that follows.

DiffFull NameKeysDescription
MINMinimal4KStatic finger placement — beginner friendly
EVOEvolved5KActive lanes may switch mid-song
ULTUltimate6KRequires moving three fingers flexibly
FBDForbidden6K+Wide notes included — the hardest challenge
Tap

Press the matching key. In FBD, wide notes span multiple lanes — any covered key triggers them.

Hold

Keep the key held down. No release timing to judge; in FBD you can transfer between keys mid-hold.

Field

Mouse control — keep the cursor inside the purple zone. Straying too long briefly disables it.

Flick

Flick the mouse quickly — left (yellow) or right (green). The motion only needs to overlap the note's horizontal span, not cover its full length.

Scoring

Grade Thresholds

Grades depend only on the final score.

EX+≥ 99,000,000
EX≥ 98,000,000
AA≥ 95,000,000
A≥ 92,000,000
B≥ 85,000,000
C≥ 80,000,000
D< 80,000,000

Clear Types

Clear types are a separate axis — they depend on accuracy and the Miss HP gauge, not on score.

PDPerfect DiveAll notes hit with EXACT judgement
FLFull LinkNo BREAKs, at least one NEAR
DCDive ClearedAt least one BREAK, final Miss HP ≥ 0
DFDive FailedAt least one BREAK, final Miss HP < 0

Card Integration

Build Your Deck

I

Collect Iota

Clear Encounters to earn Iota materials. Drops require Connected + Dive Clear or better; each Encounter has a fixed drop pool — typically 12 kinds (4 colors × 3 shapes) of a single Tier.

II

Fill Blueprint

Place Iota on the hexagonal grid to fill its colored Zones — each filled Zone adds base Power, Defense or Trait Slots. The Iota's Color, Tier and average Potency drive the final card's stats.

III

Select Trait

Pick special abilities based on unlocked Trait Slots. Traits restore Resolve or boost damage in Encounters — the core of build strategy.

Advanced Tips

The In Falsus tips below come straight from the demo build — fix your keybinds first, then drill the mouse notes.

1

Gameplay

Rebind your keys

The default LShift / A / S / D / F / Space layout isn't intuitive for most players and strains the pinky. Head into settings and remap to a layout that fits your hands — the single most effective first step.

2

Gameplay

Field cursor control

Practice small continuous movements instead of large sweeps. Once the cursor leaves the purple zone it turns red — stay out too long and it briefly goes inactive, ruining Field judgments.

3

Score

Resonance Gauge bursts

The Resonance Gauge resets every Phase and, once full, multiplies all damage ×5 for the rest of that Phase. Only EXACTs fill it — so land your EXACTs early in each Phase to open the burst window sooner and hold it longer.

4

Card

Blueprint optimization

Character Tolerance skills let you ignore certain Penalties, giving Iota placement far more flexibility. The same Blueprint can be integrated multiple times — experiment for the best Power/Defense mix.
